After watching the zombie Pac video from Coachella, I’ve decided it’s about time for me to go back to overcompensating. Anyways, it’s about pool season now.

It’s a good thing I didn’t blow all my band money on hookers and hotels rooms, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to pay my recent speeding ticket through a school zone.

I miss the days of being a musician and not having to be the promoter. The fans of music should be the real promoters, unbiased positive opinion. Who’s gonna believe me when I say “Dude, my band is awesome. The tracks are gonna make you shit bricks.” I don’t wanna make people listen to my music, but that’s how you do it now.
Fans, you’re the reason music is where it is. Whether you think the current state is good or bad for any reason, it’s because of you. While bands and artists set the pace for the flow of content, fans are the only ones in control of the music and where it ends up.

It’s weird how once obvious truths about everyday realities can seem so alien after a period of something almost seemingly completely different.

Preparing for a future adlib project. Studio style of course, but it’s gonna inspire some creativity. Before the actual studio work, I’ll need to practice it a few times, get an idea how to keep the stuff moving. It’ll mostly likely be too ambient without the solid foundation because of the nature of some of the notes I’ve already prepared. So it’ll be a fun game, once we learn the “rules”.

I should’ve just went through with it, I’m more put off the fact that I didn’t jump on that opportunity than the possibility of a miniscule loss.

Got to hang out with our friends from Labor Party tonight, catch up on things. Good things are happening for everyone, let’s seize the year.
Part way through playing catch up, I realized that there’s some people that I wouldn’t expect to not be caught up. So here’s a breakdown.
1. Finishing up the 2nd album, mixing. That’s gonna be awesome, but for now it’s in demos.
2. Finishing up writing a 3rd set of songs, and conspiring spinning all 3 sets into 1 mega set. I’m not sure if that’s a totally cool thing, or fucking lame sauce.
3. I just finished writing almost all the background music for season 3 of Sonic for Hire. Since it’s finale, I’ve began work on another of it’s studio’s shows: Megaman Dies at The End.
4. I’ve developed an affinity for MIDI devices, and I’ve been getting weekly practice since November. I’m feeling like I’ve unlocked a tremendous amount of possibility in my song writing, and at the best time to have found a nitch to necessitate what I’m constantly producing.
5. I don’t schmoke shwag no mo. :D
